 Jaw Crushers

Nordberg C Series
Jaw Crushers:

  • Heavy Duty crusher frame
  • Pitman and Frame sides are produced of a special high-quality cast steel from Metso's own foundries.
  • Four Equal Oversized Bearings

Metso (Nordberg) has installed over 10,000 Jaw Crushers since the 1920's.

Today, where cost-efficient primary reduction of hard, abrasive materials is concerned, the C Series crushers represent the highest technical and manufacturing know-how.

All C Series Jaw Crushers are based on a revolutionary modular, non-welded frame construction. This design offers the highest possible fatigue strength, excellent reliability and numerous mounting possibilities. This, combined with special high-quality cast steel components, means exceptionally high crusher availability, cost-efficient crushing and low cost per ton.

There are now 11 models of the C Series Jaw - from highly mobile yet robust units, to giant crushers specially designed for the most demanding mining applications.

Pitman and End Frames are produced of special high-quality cast steel from Metso's own foundries for superior durability and reliability.

C Series Jaws utilize a heavy-duty eccentric shaft and four equal oversized bearings.

The overhead Eccentric provides a circular motion at the feed opening, which allows very large maximum feed size to be fed to the crusher.

C Series Jaw Crushers offer top crushing performance, combining high reduction ration and increased capacities within any feed material conditions. This is the result of several state-of-the-art features such as higher crushing speed, optimized kinematics including longer stroke and more effective nip angels. These features allow more work stages, which improves performance. non-choking jaw die profiles maximize crusher throughput.

These jaws accept larger maximum feed size than competitive jaws of equal size. Higher reduction ratios are achieved when crushing starts at the top of the cavity, while the minimum permitted setting can be used. The steep angle of the toggle plate creates a longer stroke at the bottom of the cavity, which contributes to greater material throughput.

Fast Setting Adjustment

The settings on the C Series Jaw Crushers can be adjusted rapidly and efficiently. No shims need to be added or removed.

You can choose between mechanical or even remote controlled, hydraulically operated wedges.

Modular, Non-welded Construction

A unique modular, non-welded frame construction is state-of-the-art design with two hot-rolled steel side plates joined to high-quality cast steel frames through robust, precision-machined bosses secured with bolts. The absence of stress inducers such as weld seams ensures excellent durability against shock loads.
